We are the largest online video editing platform.
Building creative tools are super impactful for so many people. From business owners to YouTubers, creators, artists, and more.

However, building an online video editor is not easy. This is not just another ecom store, Web App or Saas Project. It will be one of the hardest challenges of your career and a place to do the best work of your life.

This does not mean we compromise work-life balance

What are you building - what's the mission?


We are making video editing accessible to all. 

Unlike traditional video editing products, we focus on accessibility, ease of use and are building tools in line with the type of content we consume today.
How are you different from other tools?

Imovie, Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro... the key is in the name. These tools are for PROs creating MOVIES for film PREMIERES. We are not PRO's, we exist for everyone to create content and tell their story. 

How are teams structured, what do they do?


Right now our core teams are Product and Growth, but this will be out of date by the time you read this.

Each team is fully stacked with Designers, Developers, PMs, and whatever other resources they need to be successful.

Here is how we think about our core growth functions.
Acquisition: Creating compelling reasons to get new users to the front door.

Helping our users to the AH-HA moment with the product.

Making our users aware of all our tools and lowering the barriers to entry to increase retention.

Revenue: How do we provide a great free user experience and create compelling reasons for our users to upgrade.

Referrals: How do we make our product experience so good that you want to tell your friends or invite others to join you.

Next, this is how we think about our Product Teams.
We have 4 product teams. Editor, Nexus, Tools, Dev-Ops and Live.

Editor: Our editor team focuses on creating the world's best video editing experience.

Nexus: Nexus focuses on building the infrastructure and architecture around our platform of tools, like operating the system of video on the web.

Tools: The tools team creates and maintains additional video editing tools such as our recording tools, video hosting, compressors, and converters. 

Live: Our newest team, they are building a product that will allow users to create stunning live streams from VEED and distribute them to multiple platforms.

Dev-Ops: Last but by no means not least, the dev-ops team keeps the site running for millions of users and has to adapt at a fast pace as our user base grows. 

What is your hiring process?


First, your application. If you have no cover letter, we normally don't look at your profile as this indicates that you don't really want the job. A good cover letter is simple, it explains who you are, what you do, and why you will be a good fit for THIS job at OUR company. If you send us a video as your cover letter, you have a high chance of getting an interview.

Next, culture check. We care a lot about our culture and the team we have built. This is a short informal chat to get to know each other a little better. No need to prep. We might skip this step if you made a video cover letter. 

Next, a small challenge - nothing crazy. We can tell a lot about a person by the way they complete their challenge (if they complete it at all). We are simply checking if both our expectations align. If the challenge blows our expectations, we might consider putting you in a more senior position or offer you another job that we believe you are better suited to. 

Depending on the position, we might set up a call with other members of the team so you can get to know them a little better. You can request this.

Our entire team is remote (and always has been). This is our work from home view everyday <3
